Guided tour of the distillery
Welcome to Feddie Ocean Distillery!
Would you like to see and learn more about how to make whisky and gin? And taste Feddie’s products?
On our “Ocean Whisky Tour” you will not only learn how we make our whisky, but also learn about other types of spirits such as gin and aquavit. And, of course, you’ll get to taste our glorious products.
You’ll find Feddie Ocean Distillery in a former freezer plant on the quayside at Fedje. Here, a unique guided tour awaits you. You can watch, smell and taste – and find out how we make what we’re dreaming will be the best whisky in the world. Our guide shows you each stage of whisky production. Whether or not you like whisky, it’s just as fascinating to see a craft distillery close up. Meet the people behind this big dream of spirits production on Fedje, hear our story and travel a little along with us.
“Ocean Whisky Tour” includes:
- Guided tour of the distillery
- Three different tastings

Rib boat trip
Rib trip around Fedje, including tour of Hellisøy Lighthouse
Where: Among the reefs and islets around Fedje, including a stop at Hellisøy Lighthouse.
Duration: About 1½ hours, including guided tour of the lighthouse.
When : Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays during the summer holiday. Weather-dependent.
Where: Depart from Fedje Mek, Kopper 13.
Price: NOK 550 per person.

Island safari or sea rafting with rib
For groups wanting a speed-filled adventure
You can rent our rib. We have various routes to choose between – peaceful island safari or sea rafting.
Price: NOK 9000 per hour.

Hikes
North-Sea route
The North-Sea route consists of three paths through the landscape and heritage of Fedje.
Day cabin
At the day cabin (dagsturhytta) you can relax and enjoy the view out across the wide seas and lighthouse.
Footpaths on Fedje are shown on ut.no – the day cabin (dagsturhytta), hill walk to Fedjebjørnen, kayak trips and cycle routes.
Cycle trips and bike rental
You will find bikes at the quayside, next to the tourist-information office. You can simply help yourself to a suitable bike.
You can get route suggestions and map from the tourist-information office at the “Landhandleriet” general store. At his store, you can also pay for your bike rental.
Beach
When the weather is good, you might enjoy the little beach at Litleberget, a sheltered bay where you can also find SUP boards for hire. Husavatnet lake is er brackish water, which warms up more quickly than the sea beyond.
Tourist-information Office
At the quayside, you will find Fedje Landhandleri General Store, with the tourist-information office. The general store serves ice-cream cones that always make it worth a visit!
Here you can buy ice-creams, chocolate, gifts or their speciality bun, the “Fedje-bollo”. You can also get a map of Fedje, rent bikes and get answers about most things that go on in Fedje.
